Testing and evaluating your everyday carry can help to tune skills, maximize proficiency and minimize the unnecessary. This course is the standard for which we train here at Apache Solutions LLC and is very much essential for those that wish to become a better shooter and an overall, more responsible armed citizen.
The 8-hour Defensive Pistol course is designed to help you master the practical use of your EDC tools. While you may have already taken a Concealed Carry class and learned the laws governing deadly force and general safety and marksmanship, this course will cover drawing from concealment, different ready positions, verbalization skills, less lethal options, and more. If you haven’t taken a course like this before, then this is the perfect opportunity for you to learn valuable skills. Enroll now and take a step towards becoming a responsible armed citizen!
Course will cover:
- Essential Handgun Skills
- Pistol Presentation
- Drawing from the holster
- Dealing with stoppages
- Unconventional shooting positions
Pre-requisites:
Students must have safe gun handling skills, and have a good handle on the foundational aspects of shooting.
What to bring:
- 300 rounds min
- Semi-auto handgun (EDC Setup).
- 10 inert dummy rounds.
- Quality Concealed Holster(no nylon or Velcro and no serpas),
- Minimum of 3 spare magazines (spare magazine pouch optional, but it will come in handy)
- Eye protection and ear protection.
- Note-taking gear.
- A camping chair would be a good idea.
Dress for the appropriate weather conditions.
(Non-members of the Southern Michigan Gun Club will be required to pay a $25 range fee on the day of class)

Full Spectrum Pistol Metrics
Purpose: If you’re looking to take your pistol skills to the next level, you won’t want to miss Full Spectrum Pistol Metrics. In just eight hours, you’ll have the opportunity to measure your existing skills against specific metrics and develop a newfound confidence in your abilities.
The course is designed to emphasize six primary and secondary technical skills that are crucial to any pistol owner: managing recoil, presenting the pistol from a “ready” or “mid-draw stroke” position, executing the concealed draw stroke, simple stoppages, complex stoppages and reloads. With expert guidance and a supportive environment, you’ll be amazed at how much progress you can make in just a single day.
