Vehicle Defensive Problems & Introduction to Low Light

A large percentage of criminal assaults and robberies take place in or around vehicles. The presence of the vehicle and relative positioning create unique issues that are not often addressed in firearms training and practice. Come join us to learn some new skills or refine existing ones in a course that is certain to provide some enlightening experiences. 

Topics include:

  • Common encounters in a vehicle
  • Drawing from a seated position
  • Seatbelt management
  • Windshield ballistics
  • Lateral Engagements 
  • Vehicle Exit considerations & strategies and More. 

Pre-requisites:

This is not a beginner course, students must have a good understanding of safe gun handling and range etiquette. Students must have had prior training in pistol marksmanship and holster skills. A semi-auto handgun. At least 400 rounds of ammunition. Minimum of 3 magazines. A quality holster (No serpas, or soft nylon holsters).

Class Requirements: 

  • Pistol (9mm or larger caliber) 
  • Holster
  • At least 3 magazines
  • Wrap Around Eye Protection 
  • Hearing Protection (consider inner and outer ears) 
  • Consider long sleeves and gloves 
  • Notebook and pen
  • Handheld flashlight 

If you have questions on gear, please feel free to contact us. 

Suggested to bring a Covid style Breathing mask or fabric buff. When firing multiple rounds through windshield glass, some of it becomes airborne particles and can be inhaled if not filtered.
