Vehicle Defense: Superior Positions
Superior Positions – Movement in and around vehicles
Description: This 3 hour, 100 round workshop studies the fighting applications of the handgun from the outside of a vehicle.
Students will learn how to quickly escape from a vehicle and move to superior positions. This is where the student begins to learn about the manipulation of cover and concealment around vehicles.
Topics include:
- Exiting the vehicle from a seated position.
- Drawing from a seated position
- Seatbelt considerations
- Cover/Concealment
- Ballistics & More.
Pre-requisites:
Students must have a good understanding of safe gun handling and range etiquette. Students must have had prior training in pistol marksmanship and holster skills (EDC course, private instruction, etc.). A semi-auto handgun. At least 100 rounds of ammunition. Minimum of 2 magazines. A quality holster (No serpas, or nylon holsters). Eye protection and ear protection. Long Sleeves, gloves, and a brimmed hat. Note-taking gear. Water.
